With less time, fewer resources and greater demands at work, how can leaders and employees avoid becoming disengaged, ineffective, or burnt out? This is the question being asked across industries - from banking and insurance and higher education and healthcare. While the answer is bound to vary person-to-person and industry-to-industry, there are tried and true methods for tackling the problem of workplace stress. I can help.
In my workplace workshops, I educate participants about stress and its effects; discuss some of the ways that organizational and individual behavior can inadvertently contribute to stress; provide them with practical stress-relieving tools they can begin implementing immediately as well as ways they can support one another to continue making use of those tools.
The long-term effects of constant stress on the physical, emotional, and mental health of individuals can be significant - even dire. And yet, when a person takes the time to acknowledge and understand stress, and develops strategies for dealing with it, he/she regains a sense of control and confidence that has a positive impact on all aspects of his/her everyday life. Individual coaching is an opportunity for you to devote time each week to addressing the stress and stressors in your life.
The coaching process is simple - though not easy. We begin with a thorought assessment of your life - the big picture and the details. Next, we clarify your goals - how you would like your life to look and feel, day to day. Then, we create a list of specific objectives for our work together. Finally, I offer you concrete steps you can take to reach those objective, and support you week-to-week to integrate those steps into your life.
