"Integral Coaches understand their clients with great depth and scope, converse with them in a way that opens up insights and possibilities, and offer a path forward"
People choose to work with me when:
They have noticed a set of patterns or habits – thoughts, emotions, behaviors, ways of relating to others – repeating themselves over and over, creating uncessesary stress and limiting their sense of freedom and ease in everyday life
They are feeling unable to address these concerns by themselves and are seeking a skillful, trusted guide to help them initiate and integrate deeper insight and transformation
They are interested in discovering and exploring fresh, new, creative ways of being in their personal and/or professional lives
It is true that the quality of my relationship with clients and the content of our conversations sometimes make coaching look like therapy; however, my work is distinct from psychotherapy in that I make no attempt to diagnose my clients as ill, or even as having a problem. Rather, I accept their difficulties as a normal, natural and universal aspect of human life - rather than as an "illness" to be "treated" - something to be accepted and understood, rather than rejected. I collaborate with clients to discover their innate capacity to find the way to freedom.
My work is "integral" in that it leaves nothing of our human experience out of the coaching engagement. I work with people at the level of the mind, body, emotions, relationships, spirituality and creativity.
My work is also deeply influenced and inspired by my experience with the Buddhist tradition. This means that my primary goal is to support clients in becoming more aware of what causes stress/suffering in their everyday life and how to skillfully meet that stress/suffering in order to live a more wholehearted, fulfilling and connected life.
